Hi everyone.
I'm new to growing and the forums.. If you couldn't tell.
I am going to start constructing a stealth cabinet and was looking for some answers before I started. the cabinet will be made out of a dresser. Dimensions are roughly W30-H42-D17. It will only be a couple plants. I've been lurking for a couple days and have read everything I could find, to the point where I have confused myself.. Not really that hard to do.
First, lighting. I was thinking of using a 150w HPS. This puts out a supposed 16000 lumens. The ballast and light are all one piece. I was wondering if this will get rediciously hot for the space. The other option is to go with CFL's? Would these be more practical?
Next, yield. I was looking into LST and ScrOG. ScrOG is probably out because I am going to be growing from seed until I get a healthy mother to clone. So LST looks better. What are some other good methods of keeping them somewhat low while still getting some yield? I'm not expecting ounces, just trying to get the most out of the space.
Ventilation will be done with some PC fans and my growing medium will be soil for the first couple grows.
What are some good beginner nutes for soil, that are not super expensive?
Also what is the best way to attach Mylar in the chamber?
I'm sure I'll have some more questions in the future. Any help would be greatly appreciated. ~Pax~
