Couple questions about ph levels

Ok wat the easyest and cost effective way to check the ph levels and does having a higher ph level cause the levels the curl under like eagle claws and small dark brown spots on the lower fan leaves

cheapest easiest way id say is simple ph tester strips you can get at any retail store that has a garden section
and ph problems cause nutrients in the soil to lock up and be un-usable to your plants so sure those are nutrient deficiency signs but it doesnt necesarilty mean you have a ph problem : p hope that clears that up

home depot or lowes sell a soil pH tester and like slaya said, you can get the test strips. honestly, just order a cheap pH meter from amazon. itll save you so much time. $20 max.. in hydro pH 5.4-6.2 is ideal, aim for the upper end 5.8... for soil, 6.5-7.5.. (7.0). hope that helps. i wouldnt say to buy a meter if i didnt think you needed one. if you stick with it, youll eventually need it. save yourself a lot of headache.

i agree with the meter i only said the strips cuz you can pick em up anywhere but sure definitly invest in a meter if your down with that
