Could this be from LOW humidity??

I've got a 2.5 week old from seed, that moved under 400W mh a couple days ago. thought spots on leaves could have been from the light so i backed it off from about 28 to 38 inches away. I am now thinking that this could be caused by the low humidity (25%) in my grow tent. Temp is around 70, its in a basement. Ph is little under 6. Added about 75 ppm of nutes but haven't since because of the appearance of the spots. But i don't think thats whats causing it so humidity is the only think i can think. Any ideas? In the meantime I'm trying to rig up a humidifier or at least mist the plant.

Sorry but one last thing. You def need to raise your humidity especially for vegging then keep it down around the 45% range for flowering.

Thanks for the input! Ill look into some cal-mag and see if that corrects it. But you don't think this is from the light being to close? If so I'm gonna a move the HID back closer to her.

Definitely not the light.. it's a cal/mag deficiency. Happened to mine as I was using distilled water with no minerals. .

Hmm interesting..that does look similar. I thought cause I'm using my well water it would have some cal. But it's only about 80ppm so thats not very hard at all.

So how far away from a young plant like this would you put a 400W MH? Its in a cool tube with a capable inline fan so heat isn't a big factor.

The ppm of the nutrient solution is 75ppm? Um.. Raise it to about 700ppm. Humidity would not cause those issues.

Am I really reading this correctly? You "backed off" from 75ppm to nothing, and now you're trying to grow DWC in plain water and wondering what's wrong? And to make it worse, people are telling you that you made the right choice "backing off"? 75ppm is as good as 0.

I had this exact same problem on my first grow as I was using distilled water with no calmg. I fucked my plants so get on top of it before it gets worse...
