Don't spray seedlings!

You want to develope a strong tap root in order to do that it needs to look for water deep in the soil, if you spray/folier feed your plant does not need to look and you end up with a weaker root.

with seedlings you can go a week between watering in most cases

its too much work.

get a clear plastic cup over them. the humidity retained in the cup will be enough.

thats until the second set of true leaves show. when they do the plant will do just fine without spraying.

however, if your using soil you might want to apply foliar feeding as well as water feeding during the vegitative stage. if you do plan on foliar feeding never do it when lights are on (you can do it right before they go out if you must), use 20% strength nutes and never do it if ventilation is comprimized.
the solution drops should dry out fairly quick or they can cause mold.

NEVER SPRAY A FLOWERING PLANT.

I rarely spray my plants. When I do its almost always with a pestercide. MJ does just fine without it. especially in hydro setups when the plant get more than enough nutes anyway.

wow! you people are actin crazy! I'm almost freaked out and I don't have the question. Look, they are right you don't need to spray them, if they are in soil you definity don't need a cup over your seedling thats rediculous. If it was a cutting I can see it, but not a seedling. Just give them some water, the smaller the container the better for seedlings in dirt. If you use like a plastic bathroom shotglass thing for a pot you could get away with watering 1-2 times a week if you put them in a 1 gal pot you might be watering a lot less and be careful with soil you don't want to many nutes in it.

i beg to differ.
seedlings I had in soil did much better with a cup on. the extra humidity DID help.
I like to start with 100% humidity and decrease it to 50% in steps until flowering. then I try to go around 35% or lower.
If your seedlings are in a place with 30% humidity they will do much worse than seedlings with 80\100% humidity. (of course counting on having minimal air exchange)

I like popping seeds in soil using 0.5L pots, just to save soil in case something goes wrong.
when temps are ideal (around 24°C) I need to water only after 2 weeks for the first time. If I need to water before that I just wet the top of the soil a bit.

I also add a lot of perlite to my seedlings soil to help drainage and aeration.

I also always use pre-fertilized soil as its the only one available. Haven't had problems with it yet.

if thats what works for you thats awesome. I have never used a cup and my seedlings always do great. My humidity is always between 40-60%. I also don't use a pot to put my seedlings in a use little plastic cups that probably hold 2 shots until they get first set of leaves then put them in 1gal pots. they usually get big enough to top and take a single cutting well within 2 weeks

And if you go to a nursery or a hydroponic store they usually carry some type of soil without nutes or you can use a mix of perlite 30%, peatmoss 40%, and topsoil 30% give or take. That gives you a great mix of drainage, water retension, and aeration

you can get the individual components from HomeDepot and that would be much better than buying some cheap pre-mix from maricle grow

like it says on the top right of my messages - the middle east.

there are gardening shops, but perlite, peatmoss or even coco\perlite is rarely available there. they usually are part of a nursery and don't have much variety as it comes to HOW to raise the plants.
People just buy pre-mixed bags and pots and plant their plants. Its rare that people "engineer" their mix.

Specialty shops that sells fertilizers and so on are usually expensive for the private customer. All they have is the local chemical fertilizers and plumbing parts. sometimes pots, pre-mixed soil and fake grass and the likes.

i use a propagator, i put the seedling in a pot with damp soil and just wait till its around an inch high, then i put the clear lid on the propagator and just spray it whenever i feel like it maybe every 4 hours. if u dont have a propagator cut a plastic coke bottle in half and pop it over the pot. i do not water the pot because the roots are so small they dont have the reach to get to deep water (imo) and when u pour water on a pot of soil it compacts the soil meaning the tiny root has too fight to get through it. at this point its only establishing itsself why put obstacles in the path.

Damn.....well im not sure what your mail systems like but you can get many things on-line too. And if you were buying online i would suggest hydro or aero. Whether you build it or buy. In the long run its cheaper and you can't beat the speed at which they grow. Beware they speed at which they go to shit is alot faster too if somethings wrong. If you do end up going that way study up on it. There is alot you have to control
