Hey Folks,
I was having problems with my cuttings producing these ugly looking leaves, stems turning purple, and simply taking too long to look like good clones. Funny thing was, my present grow is from cuttings but like I just described above, they took forever before they were ready for flowering. After much research I realized I was having a Calcium lockout issue. I used the House and Garden foiler spray, but the problem was kinda lurking around. I asked some fellas at a shop and ALL of them chimed in and said, "Your water is bad!" hmmmm, I pH the water. I leave it (tap water) standing for a minimum of 24 hours...what's the problem. "That process gets rid of the chlorine but promotes a Cal/Mag lockout. You need distilled or R/O water!!"
That floored me but was enlightening all the same. No wonder my cuttings look so crappy!!! So, I changed and will see what they look like in a week. Today is day 36 of flowering. Here are some pics of my Mazar followed by Bubblegum. If you have any words of advice, please share. Also, what about ozinating the water?? Let's see if my ladies respond to the treatment.
Good Luck with your grows!
