Cooling an 8x8 tent

215 patient here with a few questions about cooling my grow. Just build a new 8x8 tent a few days ago and finally got everything in the tent the way I want it. I am using a 1k hps with an enhance spectrum hortilux, 3 can fans (2 carbon filters), 1 16" oscillating fan, 1 8" box fan. The way I have it vented in into the heater ducts for my apartment complex, however these ducts aren't shared with my neighbors but go into my living room (where I sleep, a sacrifice for the cause.) I do not run the heater, but inside the tent temperatures are pushing 80 degrees F, but I would like to lower that to about 72, so I dropped an AC in there. When my buddies and I were setting up the AC, 1 of my friends told me not to vent off the AC into the heating vents like the light because all that heat is coming off the condenser, so instead we just vented it outside the tent into the room where the tent sits. I left the lamp, fans, and ac on for the night to see how it all ran, when I woke up in the morning it was HOT, ran into the tent looked at the temperature and it red 90 inside the tent. Now what I am thinking is either we need to improve the way this ac vents. Problems are I cannot vent out the window due to my neighbors, and now being winter I can live with a little heat (rather run a lamp than the heater, lol) so I guess the question would be, is it safe for me to vent my AC in where my light heat goes, which goes to where I sleep or would it be better not to run the AC at all? This was just a test run and none of my babies were in there yet. Let me know what you all think, have a grateful day :bigjoint:

Do you have an air cooled heat??Why are running a/c???why not vent cold air in from the outside so you don't have to run the a/c??Eliminating the heat it creates.

Cannot use the window available in the room as it is noticable from the street and dont want a duct in the window, would rather have the window shut, secured and discreet.

With some 2x4's and some plywood and a duct adapter you can make a cover for the window leaving curtains in place so it looks like nothing has changed from the outside then you can pull air from the outside and no one but you knows....thats what I do and nobody can tell.
