Cool tube fan and design question

I've got a 1000w hps and decided that I'm going to have to run a cool tube of some sort. The hood is set up perfect to just put some glass on the bottom of it.
My question is (1) has any one used a stanley like this one? http://www.acehardwaresuperstore.com/stanley-blower-fan-high-velocity-motor-for-p-55925.html?ref=42
Some peeps on another thread said might not handle 24 hr on time. Any one have first hand experience with stanley fans?
(2) if I run a six inch vent to the light and suck with that fan, could I use that to vent the room also?

you want to put tempered glass in your hood.
i use a stanley blower and it really moves the air. i have it set up with a 6" ducting. 7" passive intake. i reccomend an 8" passive intake minimum though. i havnt run 24 hours straight as of yet. its hooked up to a honeywell thermostat and when it runs it doesnt run for very long. i will be useing the cooltube in about 2 weeks or so. my room is 250 cu. ft. im taking a 6" to 4" reducer and drilling holes in it for the ceiling area and a 4" hose coming off for the cooltube. i can put tape over a hole or 2 if needed to increas flow to cooltube if needed.

Thx for the pics. I was worried it'd be hard to hook up to side of blower but looks like you did it easily. Any recomendations on where to get tempered glass?

you may have to google for that. find someplace that has it and they will precut. you may be able to get from a store that sells the same kind of hood you have.
