Continuous grow question

High all,
Maybe someone with more knowledge than I have about this subject can help me think about it:
Because of space, heat and time constraints, I want to have a continuous grow of 8 plants, that is, when the plants I have in bloom are ready for harvest, another 8 clones are ready to take their place. The problem is, if the typical clone takes about 6 weeks to go from cutting to being ready for 12/12, I can't move them into the 12/12 room at that time because the current crop still has another 2-3 weeks to go. If I let them stay in veg for that 2-3 weeks, they will be too big for my space when they go into the 12/12 room. I think I need to extend the cutting/veg time somehow so that they take the same time time as the 12/12 plants without getting too big, but I don't want to hurt or weaken them by not feeding them. And I don't want to start with new seeds every time. Anybody have a brilliant solution to my dilemma? Would radically trimming the clones back at the 6 week period gain me the 2-3 weeks I need, or would they just come back w/ twice the number of branches and overwhelm my space once they got into bloom?

Maybe start with your veg lights dimmed and gradually bring them up to full power over the first 2 weeks?

perpetual grow....heres a pic right outta hightimes... just adjust the time frame....if your plant takes 9 weeks make the intervals 3 weeks

Fireproof, I don't think that would work ...I don't think I can stretch the the veg for 2-3 weeks by lowering the light. I think the result would be tall, weak plants that spent all their energy reaching for light.
ReeferSanity, I am aware of that chart -- it's basically Stinkbud's method. I'm trying to figure out a way to modify it to suit my personal situation.

Most strains (indica) like 9 weeks flowering. Try sectioning the grow room in 3 stages eg clone box=2 weeks(2 weeks on and one off to get 3 weeks)
veg room(400 mh)= 3 weeks, stage 1 flowering = 3 weeks ,stage 2= 3 weeks ,stage 3 =3 weeks. This way you can harvest every 3 weeks. The 400w will be enough for good vegging in 3 weeks.

You harvest two and take two clones every two weeks if you have an 8 week strain.

OK, let me put this another way. Does anybody know the best way to retard or stretch out the clone/veg stage so that the plants reach the 6 week stage in about 8-9 weeks?

Only real way this can be accomplished is to hurt your baby and force it to heal itself making it take the growth energy to heal itself, but honestly its probably best to just find another strain that veg's for 8-9 weeks instead

just use less plants and veg longer, optimize yield.

I get by pretty well in a 2 foot high space for my veg cab. Just top them, LST them and supercrop them to fit the height. Thats with 4 per time. They get an extra week or so veg under 400w MH before 600w HPS. No problem here. Scroggsy.

Also depends on your cloning technique. I deliberately just use root riot cubes with clonex and a Rhizotonic foliar spray in an unheated propagator, because it takes a good week for them to shoot roots it gives the flowering room a head start. Scroggsy.

sorry dude but our gonna have to either top em or tie em, id say top em all, a few inches now and by three weeks they should be recovered in time for flower, othewise tie em off to their pots, I have two colas the size of my forearm that got badly fried so now i have them laying almost parallel to the ground in hopes they will recover allright, should have tied them down earlier,

I've had some clones in half full black pots full of dirt with ziplock bags taped over the top multiple times now. I keep them under mh and it seems like every time I remove the plastic they explode into growth. Not sure if keeping them under the condensation diffused light in high humidity with little air exchange stunts their growth, or I just have impeccable timing
