connect exhaust to dryer vent?

Hey Everyone,

So I just started a closet grow and am running a 150W HPS but it is getting way too hot even with 2 fans on. So im thinking about building a carbon filter for circulation and more so for odor control. There is a hole in the closet that has the vent for the dryer running through it. Can I just connect a filter to the end of the exhaust for the dryer?

You'll want to pull air from the top of the closet also or through a hood or cooltube so you'll need another length of fireproof hose to stick the squirrel cage fan or can fan up there. You can't use a duct booster or lesser fans, it'll need to be able to push against some decent backpressure.

that sounds awesome, thanks for the help guys....I initially started with only one seed which has been in the soil for only 4 days or so and is already an inch tall but I figured if im gonna build a carbon filter I might as well get another plant in there so I germinated another seed tonight (AK48....anyone have any experience with this strain? particularly odor and yield?)
