Confused? Why would someone want an AUTOFLOWER??

Why not just flower when you feel like it rather than letting the plant choose?

Any benefits of autoflowering?

My thought on auto's is simple for me. I'm thinking super stealth and early flowering. In between flowering regular cannabis on 12/12 autos can fill the gap between harvest. Have smoke while your shit finishes and drys/cures. Plus they are awsome in some of the S.O.G set ups I have seen kicking around the forums. I have also heard that the smoke on some strains is just incredible.

auto-flowers are usually small in stature aka stealthy... also great for outdoors... simply plant a handful of feminized autoflowers and come back to a patch of bud.

There's a number of advantages to autoflowering plants.
Their size is genetically restricted, good for box/cabinet grows.
They are not affected by light cycles or leaks. veg and flower side-by-side under 24/0 if you want.
Well, I'm stoned and can only think of 2... sure there's at least one more tho.

would flowering under 24/0 produce more dank seeing as their is tons more light?

I could be wrong, but I think autos usually finish a month faster than non auto strains.

I would think more photosynthesis would mean more food production, and thus more plant. Perhaps there is some threshold at which added light becomes counterproductive, but I don't work with autoflowers so I'll stop there and let people who grow the stuff answer better.

autoflowers alow growers to run a perpetual garden with 1 room and 1 light... sum ppl dont have the $, time, space, know how/care for, or effort to clone and run a 2 room perpetual... not to mention legalities... if a person is alowed 6 plants at a time, its gonna be hard to stay in that plant # when u got clones, veggers, and flowers so autos will allow them to harvest perpetually with out goin over... u can also start them early inside and put them outside to harvest mid summer and avoid cops and robbers... whos gonna be looking for pot plants in the bush late july??

as far as the photo part, plants need sleep.. they produce food in the light and use it in the dark... if u run 16hrs light and 24 hrs light, the 16hrs will be lrger cuz they will stretch in the dark... 1 reason tey do that big stretch in the first few weeks of 12/12

Autos are perfect for filling in that left over space in your veg room but their biggest advantage is to the outdoor grower. Only reaching about 20-30" tall theyre the ultimate stealth plant. And i cant speak for any other auto strain but the LR2 pack a fuckin punch.
