Confused by Extractor setup

Hi All,

I'm a bit confused about how to setup my extractor for my grow tent.Gonna start growing this weekend so pretty urgent.

SHould the filter be placed at the intake end of the fan inside the tent or should the filter be placed on the outlet of the fan outside of the tent?

well i know fans are designed to blow thru things, not suck thru..
