Confused about Fox Farm nutrient schedule

Hey guys did a search on this but couldn't find any relevant information. According to the Fox Farm nutrient schedule (for soil) it says to use Big Bloom starting at Week 1 (seeds/seedlings), everything that I've read says to start nutes 2-3 weeks after planting. So am I supposed to use Big Bloom from the very beginning or should I ignore the Fox Farm schedule and just start nutes at the end of week 2?

I'm still doing a bit of research but I think I'll be using a soilless medium such as promix hp. Does using a soil or soilless mix have any relevance when doing a nute schedule? If so, what adjustments do I need to make when using either? My local grow shop says to start nutes immediately when using a soilless medium.

When you decide your plants are ready to start recieving nutes (2nd-3rd week of growth in soilless mix), abide by the feeding schedule as if that week was the first. Ya dig?

The only difference between soil and soilless is that your plants will only recieve the nutrients you give them in a soilless mix. In a good organic soil mix, there is sometimes no need to start feeding until many weeks in, sometimes until flowering begins. With a soilless mix you will need to start feeding sooner, as soon as the plant tells you it is ready (again, 2nd-3rd week).

Good luck with your grow!

Awesome, thanks... now another question I have is should I just stick with the 3 main nutes (Grow Big, Tiger Bloom, and Big Bloom) for my first grow or should I shell out the cash for their additives as well? (Open Sesame, Beastie Bloomz, and Cha Ching), do these make a big difference in the final harvest? Also, should I flush once a month or just start flushing during the last week only?

I use all the products you mentioned. But be careful with dosage only try 1/2 their recommended strength especially when you get to the potent addidtives. And yes you can get monster buds if all conditions of growing are met. It is a good idea to leech once a month to free salt build up cause if you dont you might run into a stunting of growth or nutrient toxicity. good luck man.

If you can afford them, it won't hurt. I'm running the FF trio, but I'm trying out Humboldt County's Purple Maxx and Gravity as a flower hardener or I would have invested in the soluables, too.
