composting?

was just wondering, should i put some fruits and other biodegradable foods in with the soil i have my plants in? would that help any at all for nutrients? and bananas b/c i heard potassium is good for plants as well.

You will attract all sorts of pests due to decomposing fruits. Fruit flies Fungus Gnats you are asking for all sorts of troubles if you do.

Look into composting and Vermi Composting if you want to make your own fertilizer.

DONT DO WHAT YOU ARE THINKING OF DOING.

i agree with jondamon said. Its not good when you direct it to your plants. Read Composting guideline for help.
