Complete noob advice needed

Hey everyone,

I was giving a seedling about 4-5 months ago and I’m worried I might kill it. I live in the tropics and the rainy season has just started. I think my plant has stopped growing, so a few days ago I started putting in my shed (not much ventilation) so to reduce the daylight hours from 15 hours a day to 11. The plant seems fine and any advice your be appreciated. This is my 1st attempt at growing.F4C42160-B8C1-4D62-AE0E-150A4FED8109.jpeg70BA0C66-CF40-47ED-9F87-13E46382243A.jpeg

I read somewhere they like natural light throughout and I thought it be a good idea to direct the buds to where I wanted them to go

If those plants were mine I'd defoliate most of that leaf.....Let the plant direct the suns intensity directly to the buds.

This may be a 14 week or so sativa strain
what are those white spots? Mite damage?

I wouldnt cut things off unless worried about mold, the sunlight will go right through the leaves

I don’t think there is any mold currently and I’ve had a few leafs over the last month with spots on and read somewhere on here today it could be mites. Can the mites damage it and what do you mean this could be a 14 week or so Sativa strain?

I guess we should have asked you how tall is the plant, and how many months old is it

Not seeing mites, myself. See the leaf tips brown tho, possible nute burn. Doesn't look that bad, seen worse on here.

I live in north Australia and we are now heading towards winter
Ya, take off some of that leaf. Your buds will get bigger faster.
thanks as as I did read about damaging the plant if you remove to many leafs.

Taking off all the leaf will definitely limit yield.........Dont take them all off, not much sun left this yr for you. Anything totally blocking the bud sites REMOVE.

I defoliate all my plants, late in growth. All lower leaf and JUST SOME upper leaf that totally blocks bud sites.

What about the brown tips, you mentioned nute burn, what is that? As the plant when it was young had the same issue until a week or so ago

browned leaf tips are a sign of too many nutrients added, usually.

good luck, gotta get my day started and get off the pc.

So how much rain can these plants take? As until the last few days I was having to water it 2 possibly 3 times a day. Do you recommend keeping it out of the main rain events we get?
