Color changing on upper umbella leaves

I just start noticing this yellowing on my top most umbella leaves. And one or two are curling down. Its only on the top leaves really too. I am using soil. I water 2 times a week, 1 quart per plant each time i water. I just put them on 12/12 3 days ago with a 400 HPS. I had it only a 1 and 1/2 feet away first day with no fan. I have since raised it to 2 feet 3 inches and added a fan. This is one thing i think it might be( i burned them a little.) Or I was thinking mabey a oxygen problem because i didnt add any sand or perlite to the potting soil other then what came in it which looked like a fair amount. Any oppinons?

you should be able to keep your 400 watt hps about 16 inches from your plants pretty easily. do you have a fan moving air around under your light?

P.S. those leaves do not look like they got burned to me.

What do you think I should do? I was saying they might have got two hot because the first day on HPS I DIDN'T have a fan but I do now.

This isn't due to heat or burning. The is most def. nute deficiancy. Looks like not enough nitrogen or magnesium.

They are in that scotts soil that feeds for 4 months. they have only been in there like month in a half mabey two months. Do you think its time to start giving nutes. Is there plant food I can get at home depot, until i can order some fox farm or something.

could be the soil causing some sort of nute lockout for some strange ass reason that I dont know of and probably couldnt explain....
