Coco coir?

I am thinking of using coco as my medium next grow. I am wondering if Zoo med eco earth would be considered acceptable or do i need to invest more money in my medium?

Coco can have alot of salts in it so you might just be better off buying coco that you dont have to rinse out to use but coco coir is just busted up coconut if the stuff you want to buy is just plain coco dont see why you couldnt use it you'd just have to rinse the hell out of it

Edit: the stuff you buy to grow with usually has different grades of coco like a course grade, a finer grade and fiber's in it FYI

if you want to try a badass basic medium, mix 2parts coco coir with 2parts perlite, add 1/2 cup dolomite lime per 1 gallon of mix. basic, and badass.
