can i use Coco coir fiber as a growing medium in a DWC system i juyst built?

Hey bro ive seen it used in DWC before and have used it myself with mixed results.. Its very similar to RW in a sence where ur going to really need to be strict on water uptake and only keep it moist not wet..
This poses a problem and usually causes rot or stunts the growth when its beneficial to raise the water on the bottom of the pots a bit during early plant growth and root developement..
Ive preached about the peat spoungues lots of times man..U can soak them bishes in un PH'd tap water keep um moist and damn near guaranteed to grow a nice healthy plant as long as u germ and get a tap root first..
If u cant find the plugs man u can get jiffy peat pellets at home depot and they work just as well.

You should use something heavy and inert. River rock or pea gravel would probably be best.
