co2 how much how often

i just found out how to make co2 with vineger and baking soda
how much and how often should this be done should the plants be sealed up as soon as i drop the vinegar on the soda? i just called my buddy and told him to do it to his he has his in a big rubbermaid thing that is sealed mine are not sealed up as of now

there is a better way to make co2, this is mostly because it last longer and it is with water, sugar, and yeast

equal amounts of each?
