So I do not know what is going on with my plants. They were flipped to flower on May 12th and are in coco soil. After the first watering the leaves started to turn yellow and fall off. I keep the temp at 78 degrees and the humidity around 50%. I use the Big Grow products and try to keep the ph between 6.0-6.3 after research. They are hungry now but I’m not sure how to proceed and I don’t want to do any more damage. I assume this is root rot or nitrogen toxicity.

What is the medium? Coco soil? Meaning coco with soil? What ratios? I can tell as a coco grower its overfed/burnt locked out and dryback killing it is my guess. I do dtw coco. Soil and coco is for the extra talented otherwise not recommended. Its not meant to be treated this way.

Yes it is coco soil. What do you mean by ratio? I buy the flowering soil from my local hydroponic store.

You need to follow general recommendations and practices for growing in Coco Coir. Coco coir is not soil, it's a hydroponic medium that should be fed with a plant food suited for or specifically made for Coco Coir. Some common commercial examples are Canna Coco A + B or GHE or T.A in EU.

A plant grown in Coco coir should be fed to runoff everyday, the pots surface should always stay wet/moist and never be allowed to dry out. The most common thing is to raise the pots and have them elevated on saucers to not let them sit in runoff water.

The plants are suffering from nutrient deficiencies since they're not fed properly.

Here's a link with general instructions for how to grow in Coco coir.

All the best of luck!

Cheers!

Yes I do have them on elevators. Thank you for the link that info is helpful!

Disnt mean to come off snooty I just wanted to be sure before I gave advice but like one said was what I was going to say. Its common people do this. It wont be very easy and considering the progress Id restart in either coco or soil.
Oh no I appreciate your reply I just dont understand all off the terms used. So you would rehome the plants in coco?

What is the bag of coco/soil called? I wouldnt repot unless its a mothered plant and you are just replacing the medium by cloning it and starting fresh in a medium you know or just better in general.

I believe the OP is unaware that they are two different things.........I think it's just coco. Looks like it in the pics.

I only heard of one person do that and they were good with soil who used coco in it. Theyre like your only hope and havent seen them log in in a while. It will be tough, I think soil is tough and coco is easy but both is a nightmare to think about.

Id start again from scratch in soil or coco. If coco Id check out the site cocoforcannabis dot com Id just search that up. Its not much to read and will have you ready for coco which is easy and when it clicks you just have it on lock.

This is the soil I am using. I did not use coco mix at all because this is the first time learning about it.
I appreciate all the feedback!
So should i continue to water the plants and save them or throw them out? What would you do?

That bag is 35-45% coco the rest is peat and etc so yea its half coco. Youll have to find out how to grow that way and not really anyone here does. Its got so much coco I was somewhat able to diagnose it because its really a hybrid.

I would restart because soil and dtw coco growers are abundant its easier to get help when you need it.

Am I the only one confused?
My fault for the confusion bro! I’m still new to this and I know I am terrible with my questions lol
I’m am also a she lol so that should explain a few things hahaha but I pretty much use this site and YouTube university for answers. I wish someone could actually look at them because I am still so new to this!

I know you don't want to hear this but Throw them out. They are totally messed up and you will hardly yield anything off them. Buy some "Canna coco professional plus" which is 100% coco and is already buffered and ready to use straight out of the bag. Germinate your seeds and get them going in small solo cups and make drainage holes in the bottom of the solo cups. Buy some Canna A&B nutrients and start feeding them daily until run off from day 4 of sprout. Start with a very small amount of nutrients to start with. You could also buy some perlite and do a 70/30 coco perlite mix. We will help you do a successful grow. I am active on here everyday. This is my latest grow.
