:fire:hey all and welcome to my latest post im starting this post because of all the newb's on this sight like myself that still get lost now and again here or there..lol so the main topic is going to be closet grow spaces does and dont's we dont need no :-(arguative and disrespecful people on here it doesnt help our cause. i really want to know is it possible to do a closet grow without putting holes in your door? is it true that people have grown with and open door policy and that was enough for air cooling and circulation with a good fan inside? i and others need your feed back...thanks and good grows to all but better smokes....:weed:

i failed to mention that im not at all concerned about the odor at the time simply the yea's and nea's of closet growing...

Open door would be fine if you have a good fan in the closet, but during night cycle your have to close the doors everyday. At the same time and have to be completly light proof. You would need a dehumifer for night time with no outside air cirulation.

yes, it is possible to grow w/the door open. i use floro but i use enough that it makes it over 100 with the door closed. i leave the door open with a fan on the shelf inside pointed out at the open crack. I have 2 more fans blowing on the plants pointed toward the end the door is at. temps stay around 89. a little high i know but if i put some bowls of water around the humidity keeps the air in check a little.

when I started my grow I took the closet door off the hinges and used a sheet of 2'' thick foam board for a door, and I simply wrapped the edges with duct tape, then used a continuous strip of duct tape down the wall for a hinge.
If you make the door short, you can put a panel above for some ducting from a bath/fart fan to give you neg. air pressure & change out the air more often, also light-tight.
This will allow a renter to make a "perfect room" out of any closet or bedroom without doing any damage to the doors or walls, and can be restored to normal in about 5 min.

I've moved the grow out of the closet, but I took my door rig with it! Now it takes up half of the bedroom it's in.BAT CAVE 022.jpg

dude put tape around the edges of the foam board to help it seal and so little pieces dont fall off . then place the board in the door way . and then run 1 piece of tape from top corner of the board to the bottom corner and then the board should now be able to open . once it is open you can then do this agian on the inside . hope that helped

....check the pics again bro, it's like LJ said; wrap the board edges to keep them intact, then one strip top to bottom for a continuouos "piano hinge" along the side you want it to swing from.
If you get the real good quality duct tape it will last for a long time, mine is going on 6 months with no fail......:joint:

btw, when I had this set up on the closet I had an intake beside the ex. you see in the pic. to bring in fresh cool air from the bedroom, I was able to keep lights on temps at or below 80, now I have an A/C vent that serves as my cooling/intake, so I vent the hot air through a carbon filter on the outside which also acts as a muffler..............BAT CAVE.jpg...............:joint:
