Whats up guys, Im new to this site but have been reading for a while now and like some of the input that comes up in these forums. I have decided to start an indoor grow operation and wanted to gather and discuss different ideas, techniques, and general knowledge that you guys might have to make sure I cover all my bases so I can grow the best stuff possible 
I've messed around with growing in the past but nothing serious and now I am motivated to set up a whole system in my closet with the proper lighting, hydro system, ventilation, temperate, humidity, etc. basically the whole works to grow top shelf stuff. I have researched this topic pretty heavily for the last month or so and this is what I think is best for my current situation...
My plan is to grow (legally, prop 215), 6 indica dominant plants "starting out from clones" with a good size yield (I want nice and dense top shelf nugs, but don't we all lol). The closet area is roughly 7 1/2- 8 feet tall, 6 feet long, and 2 1/2- 3 feet wide. Im going to go with a 1000 watt mh/hps cool tube with XXL wing, and digital ballast, and I also might put a couple cfl's to cover the foliage on the sides of my girls. Im going to have all the necessary equipment as well such as: nutrients, pH tester, thermo/hydrometer, good ventilation (probably 2 or 3 eight inch fans), reflection, thinking about getting a humidifier/dehumidifier as well.
Basically I wanted to see what your guys input is on this set up.
Have any of you guys used either of these products before?
How much would this set up cost me per month in electricity on estimate? ( i was thinking about $50-100)
What brand of nutrients do you guys like best?
does anyone know a reliable place to get clones in the central valley (Cali)?
What is your watering regiment set at? (3-4 times a day is what i've heard, some say 5-6)

lastly, I know a lot of growing bomb MJ has a lot to do with good genetics of the plant and good personal techniques that work for the individual. Also, There is more than one way to skin a cat, which is why there is a thousand different ways to grow good buds. thanx again for the replies, smokes up
