Cloning with Hormones ore without?

I read an article our own Salvia are great for Cloning ore other Methods like Cinnamon ore Aloe Vera but are they realy good ore is all Bullshit? Then the diffrent Brands like Clonex etc..

Clip your clone, Place it in a glass of water and wait.

OR

Clip clone, plant into medium, cover with a dome and wait.

OR

Clip clone, dip in clonex, plant in medium, place under dome.

I don’t clone very often but when I do I just use method 2.
