Cloning under the sun?

I have a bottle of Shultz rooting hormone for cuttings. I've never taken clones, but I'm ready to try it.

My question is this, if I do take cuttings and put them outdoors, will my present photo period of 14 hours of sunlight be enough to allow the cuttings to root? They're coming from females flowering for 5 weeks. my present photoperiod is 14 hours,

They will be much better off indoors where you can control the environment.
Also, 5 weeks seems pretty late to be cloning, from what I've heard.
