Cloning, setting up SoG

Ok I am torn on this. I am making a aero clone station, but I can't decide if I want to keep a mother, or keep the SoG going by just cloning. I'm not growing any special strains atm, just bagseed, want to try to get into harvest every 2-3 weeks.

My issue is size of grow area, it's a storage building about 10x8.

If I keep cloning the clones, i.e. topping etc, will it get to a point where quality decreases?

I played with the idea of keeping a mother plant and just replacing every so often with a clone, but I don't know if I want to go that far with it right now.

Already have my base flowering setup, 6 site aero/dwc res, 400w mh/hps etc. So I will flower 6 clones at a time. Cloning res will have 24-32 sites to give a good selection, with a 400w veg col and reflector. Nutes are super basic, MG tomato, and of course a cloning solution.

My question to sum it up, clone using a mother? Or just clone off of trimmings, topping etc to keep it going?

Either is a good and viable option.
I'd do a Scrog instead of sog if I were you... less clones, less hassle.

For the long haul a grower should start with mail order seeds...now keep those plants alive as mothers in soil.

Just clip and clone a know strain.

OP, I strongly recommend SCROG over SOG as monkz has stated, and I'll add this reason to his reasons: SOG contains many more plants per grow than SCROG. For example, in a 3x3 tent you'd have 1 or 2 plants for SCROG, while you'd have 9 plants for SOG. And the marijuana laws specify punishments (i.e. prison sentences) based upon the number of plants you're caught growing. So it's a no brainer you'd rather be caught with 2 plants instead of 9. Especially when harvest weight is about the same.

But if you're growing legally, it's really just your choice. Both methods work well, although I'd still recommend SCROG.

Thank y'all for the input, I'm confused on scrog a little, I understand how it works etc with how it trains the plant, but I'm confused on turn around time and plant replacement. Also I'm not sure if it will work in the area I have, I will research it some more.

I have cloned clones for years and never noticed a decline.'
Working from bagseed I really wouldn't sweat. If keeping multiple strains just plan on running that cloner almost non stop

yes...or bad ass deals. like now they have 50% off EVERYTHING....limited to 5 seeds of the same strain. i placed an order with this promotion. another friend did too. we both live in texas. takes right around 10-14 days to get to my door.

ive grown some of their freebies and they were good. some better than others. i've ordered from attitude before, and the seeds were popped open and black. not neccesarily their fault, but i wont order from them again. the stealth from bonza is AMAZING.

Oh shit 50% off that great. Fuck yeah, you just use free shipping? Yea screw them Last time I used attitude they randomly charged me twice while waiting for 2 MONTHS for my seeds

yes its 50% off everything. only strings attached is that limit to 5 seeds of a certain strain. i have always used the top shipping. it has tracking (which doesnt always work for me) but they will send replacements until it arrives. its $7 more for the top shipping so why not. peace of mind. they will still ship it super stealth if you get the middle shipping. the free shipping is new and i cant comment on that. fuck waiting 2 months. my orders have all got to me within 10 days (minus holidays)

Thanks bro just put an order in with them. How is it growing down in Texas? You grow outdoors??

its growing good here. i'm indoor only. come summer time i may try some guerilla grow around my house. but texas is so damn finicky with their weed laws, i might just stick to indoor.
