Cloning question .. Please help

I currently use a bubble cloner for my clones , but I'm wondering if its possible for me to take a cutting and place it in hydroton in a dwc bucket and have it root ... ? I'm guessing it would work but would love some input from anyone who has tried or knows if it will be a fail or not

You could but probably not the most effective way.

I would think it would not be moist enough, you could just hang it bare with net pot and neoprene cover without hydroton and then it will probably be more effective then just layer hydroton around roots after a nice patch takes off. As long as bubbles popping on stalk through net pot.

I have done this 3 times and they have done just fine. They took a little longer to show roots and really start growing.

cut the hydroton to fit the stem itself and leave the root part exposed to water and humidity and it works everytime.

Cut hydroton? Should I pull out the tile saw?
