I only mist the cuttings them selfs 2-3 times a day for the first 48hours. Then I just mist the dome it self 4-6 times a day until I see roots from about half of the cuttings I took.

Once half are showing a few roots out of the rapid rooter I crack the vents on the dome open half way. I have well rooted clones in 12-16 days with my big buddah cheese and g13 pineapple express.

Ive done a ton of practicing on cloning in the last four months and ive finaly have it to where in comfortable and getting 99.9% rates. If I loose one its because I tore the rapid rooter open being impatent wanting to see root development then toss it in the trash.

guess ill ad I use clonex, water with a drop of superthrive, rapid rooters, trays/domes, 4 23w 5500k cfls in a homemade hood and a 3'x2'x2' tent. The tent temps are 73-75 and inside the domes are 75-78 and 60-80% rh. I keep the plugs barely damp, I noticed when there soggy wet it slow rooting. A nice little tool to pick up for cloning is the mondi mini greenhouse hydrometer that mounts in the dome. I love mine, lets you check your enviroment without disturbing it.

thanx, i pulled 1 out cuz it look like it was dying i check for roots n there was some bout 3,1 cm long i put it back,to c if it survives ,ibthink my clones turn brown cuz of heavy folair feed lol,is wilting normal?

Depending on your clone method, wilting is perfectly normal for a lot of methods. Even the fact that the tips turned brown, is just a sign the plant needed some energy/food to produce those roots! Patience is a virtue when it comes to cloning. If the plant isn't wilted over and shrivelled up, then there is a very high chance it is doing its thing! bongsmilie

It also depends on the strain. More Sativa dom= faster better cloning. More pure indica = slower. More picky cloning.

I had a Lapis mountain Pakistani Indica. That even under the best circumstances would only root 15%. It was awesome smoke, but horrid to clone and was a poor yielding specimen and slow growing to boot. I had to cull it. :wall:

One of the easiest to root was Jillybean by TGA.:weed:

Another thing to try is keep the moms on Ionic Mother plant a and b thats how I got the Lapis kush up to 15% success. Make sure your ph is 5.8-6.3 ( as close to 6 as possable) and temps between 68-74 F. Good luck.

I guess that is my bad for not asking. I just assumed you were misting with water! That is all they need until they root! Then go to town!

I don't see any water in your dome. My cloning rate is 0% when the dome doesn't stay 100% fogged-up all the time.
