Cloning a plant in flower?

I have a flowering plant that has turned out much better than I had anticipated.and I want to clone it. So far all attempts to do so with fan leaves have failed. I've taken some non flowering branches from the bottom and treated them as colas, any chance it'll work? Any advice on preserving the genetics of the plant?

TIA

Planting a fan leaf will do nothing lol BUT planting the branch will work it will just take some time so let it be and keep it nice and happy not not to much Crazy light at the beginning

yes, if possible leave a couple of bud on it, it your harvested already and put the plant back in 24 hours, or 16/8, vegging hours. in about two weeks your have many starts growing out of the buds, the more you let it go, the more you'll have to work with, but, if you just let them grow out say three months you would have lots of perfect clone starts to work with.
