I have noticed that when I grow from clones vs. when I grow from seed, that my plants do not stretch much when I switch to 12/12.
I grew Power Plant and White Widow from seed and when I switched to 12/12 They almost tripled in size. But when I cloned them, and switched the clones to 12/12 they only stretched about 1/2 the size that they did from seed. So I have been forced to let the clones veg much longer to get my 3 to 4 ft.
From seed I switched at 14 to 16 inches and ended up with 3 1/2 to 4 ft. finished plants.
From clones, I had to let them veg until around 2 1/2 ft to get the same result.
I do not recall ever having seen this mentioned anywhere in the discussion groups that I have checked. The same happened with my other strains as well so it is not strain dependant.
