Clone's stem turning purple?

I have seen this issue talked about on here before but I can't seem to find that thread. I have a clone that looked real healthy when i got it and now the stem is turning purple and the leaves are turning yellow in almost a spotty pattern.

the soil that its roots were in is way different then the soil we planted it in (cuz that's the only soil we have) so maybe that has caused whatever problem it has. any ideas?

so these have rooted now and trying to grow???..hard woody stems are potassium deff. what ph for waterings in. need pics to if you can. spoty yellow is sounding like the beginning of iehter mildew or rust disease.

yeh with a little more reaserch you could find out that the stems turning purple and the leaves dropping off are pritty much unrelated. the purple stems usually indicate stress from the cold, and the leaves are dieing because the plant is trying to salvage the energy from them to create new root growth, but you may want to consider using a diegnostics guide like this one. https://www.rollitup.org/marijuana-plant-problems/157345-have-plant-problem-check-here.html especially if the roots have already sprouted.
