cloneing with soil

Yes you can use soil. Just make sure you keep it moist. don't let it dry out at all. If you can put them in a humidity dome even better. After about 1.5wks. the roots will be growing. You can test this by VERY lightly tugging on the stem. If you can feel some resistance you have some roots holding on for dear life so like I said be easy with this test. It will also help if you trim the leaf tips back like half size. They will still take in light but not need the roots to work as hard bringing in water so they can focus on growing.

yea. i clone into soil everytime(fox farm/ocean forest). just keep the dirt moist, not wet. and very important: keep the dirt warm and they will root very fast. rubberband a plastic sandwichbag over the cup for humidity. i poke a couple holes in mine for fresh air.

powder works great for soil, even tough plants root,bc after dipin into powder,u put it in a hole in middle of a pot and it has to be moist and it becomes a gelatinis gel and it wil be absorbed by the plant, what doesnt get absorbed,it will be washed away,it causes prolific rooting.sry no pics, but is the truth.

Great idea with the plastic bag good tip.
thank my 2 1/2yr old son for the bag suggestion. he grows green beans and tomatoes in my clone box. and he says "daddy, the beans need bag helmets..." after laughing for a second i realized it wasnt a bad idea...imagination is invention -stephen hawking

I use that shultz take root and fox farm ocean forest. My clones I have now are 4 days old and I am already seeing new growth on them. IMO it works great. I also have them in a humidity dome under my 400 watt MH, and I mist them twice a day.
