Clone Yeilds and lighting questions.

Hello everyone,

So I decided to start growing in early June. Built my own low pressure aeroponics setup, got a tent and a 400w HPS. I planted a bunch of seeds in rock wool and germinated them, vegged for a month, took clones, sexed, got rid of the males, and then went to harvest. My yields were less than impressive to say the least but I have been told that is due to the 400w light. I have now upgraded to a 1000w HPS light and just took clones from the original clones that have been vegging for about a month now and moved them into flowering. A few questions, I noticed that the clones were not growing evenly (they are growing asymmetrically) when they did not do this from seed originally, is this normal? Second question is will I get approximately similar results in yield and potency from the clones? Third question, is it okay to continue cloning from the clones? My current setup does not permit me the space to keep a mother separate to clone from. And finally, is the upgrade to the 1000w light (just upgraded before switching to flowering) going to make that big of a difference?

Thank you for any input you could provide.

^^^^^^^Very correct answer...

Examples.
i have a blue dream mother, 5 months old. 2 clones.
of the first batch. 3 stayed short and stacked, and 3 stretched a bit.
second time i took 8, 6 short 2 tall.

Based on my experience in my current grow.
It is basically where you take the cut from that you can judge what they will do.
On an older plant that was vegging over a month. the lower branches tend to produce stretchier clones. IMO.
But when you super crop the mother and take ONLY tops(the top 6-8 branches to start depending on age) off after a few weeks of growth. they stay short and stacked..
I was able to take 12 cuts the 3 time around and all of them are short and stacked. :) gonna make GREAT solid buds straight up.
while the tall are going to have scattered budsites and produce less overall. potency SHOULD remain the same though.

so that is answers for 1&2.

3rd - if you ever get a chance to read the growers bible. you will come to a part about cloning. read it. breeders and growers have been taking clones of clone of clones of clones for years. some as many or more than 20 generations of clones. which is still the same genetic imprint of the originally grown mother.

final yes. lol not much more i can say. you will have DENSE LARGE NUGS. :)

Good Luck
