I clone outdoors every year and this is how. I start my mother plants inside on a 16/8 light schedule in the beginning of feb under cfls. I always force flower a clone asap to determine sex. I put my mother plants outside about from the beginning to middle of march. I take as many clones as i can right up until the plants start to flower. I use those red beer cups(actually i use green now they dont stand out) full of compost for the clones. I then transplant as they grow. I have even cloned my clones before you can duplicate one plant many times in a season doing this. The only draw back is the less veg time usually means less yield but you wont mind when you harvesting fifty plants.I have recently started using juicy roots cloning gel by advance, i think its great its like the clone starts growing from day one.
