hi i was wondering whats the rule on young plant cuttings ? iv got 4-5 week old plants and would like to take cutting off would this be ok ? its a short and bushy plant

Thankls

no rules really...

i like to take the cuttings from a growing tip that is 5 fingered. i feel that they grow better once they root if they have 5 fingers to start. other than that, no real rules.

when i started cloning i kinda did it my own way and had results, first time. the cuttings will root if they have the proper conditions, that's that.

here are some pictures of the more develpoed girl thanks for the info

Two nodes is good to clone, but I'd wait until those two nodes grow shoots and clone them.

That way your not loosing a bud stem.. But all is up to you buddy :bigjoint:

Good luck and hope it works, and hope I made sense :eyesmoke:

Since you're asking these questions I can only suggest that you keep the seedling under 24/0 daylight tubes until you have a successful clone.

4-5 weeks for donor moms is dicey. My bottom line is moms need to be at least 5 weeks in dirt before they give up cuttings. If you can't wait use the top cola as a clone. That will give you the best chance with a young mom as well as make the plant shorter and bushier. That's a good thing, eh? Indicas generally mature faster than sativas so that might help.

Good luck, BigSteve.
