clipping and pruning

Im trying to go with the shorter bushier plants but i have no clue about clipping and triming and when i should clip and what i should clip... Any tips or clues help.. Ill add pics and u guys help me out

This is the thread you want. LST can help keep your plant short. You can also do a search or topping or the FIM technique which can be used early to keep your plants short and producing lots of tops.

you should clip when the trichomes are mostly all cloudy. You leave the buds and trim the fan leaves and the parts that aren't covered in sugar

I started topping/fimming when I had 3-4 nodes and kept it up for seven weeks of veg. Tied a lot of branches down to keep the plants short. There are some pics in my grow journal below.
