Sup Sup M8's! hey i was thinking about getting some mylar for my first grow to optimize my light. i read somewhere on here that its really delicate, the 1 mil anyways, and its not that easy to keep clean as fylon or something (correct me if im wrong). so for those who use mylar or have knowledge about it, do you clean yours, and if so what do you use to clean it? ohh ya and aprox how often. thanks friends! cheers! God bless everyone!

Try having neem oil overspray get all over your mylar.
mylar looks cool when setup right, but a good reflective white wall will do pretty much the same job and be a lot less of a headache.

just paint your walls white and be done with it.

thanks Mr.420bug but i already have the mylar on order. so i have it whether i like it or not. is it that much of a pain in the ass? eerrrrrhhhh, im kinda worried now. i really want to get that extra 10% light on my plants and plus all the cool growers are doing it right? lol. maybe not, im just trying to make excuses for my spendings.

so how did you end up cleaning it though? even though it was a pain in the ass. God bless everyone.:peace:

you will never get it perfect once you get it messed up.

it's so cool looking.. like liquid chrome walls.. until it gets messed up and hten it's just stressful to look at

cleaning mylar? just use a damp rag to get any soil nute salt buildup etc....nasty shit. get it off with a towel and then clean it like you would a mirror with some glass cleaner. I use the spray cans that have ammonia in them, windex would probably work.

if yours is that nasty clean it with some soda water (which is NOT soda by the way) thats what i use to clean stainless steel with when im working with expensive steel blades.
