citric acid.

is it alright for me to lower my ph by using citric acid such as lemon juice?

I used to use vinegar, but i think it caused me algae white slime problems, so I switched to TopFin fish tank ph up and down... I did that for a week or so, and finally realized that it's just better for the plants to get something that is actually meant for the application that we use it for.

So I now use General Hydroponics PH down. and I have a huge shopping list of other stuff that I need, including PH UP, and AN barricade, and some other chemical buffers that I never knew I needed.

dont buy alot of ph/up u need the ph/down for often .

almost out of down & have over 3/4 of up left. actually the only time ive used up is when i used 2 much down. lol

you'll save a lot of grief doing it this way. the price really isnt that bad, I think I spent 8 bucks for a big ass bottle that will probably last me for 6 months.
