You've got a nice, clean setup there. A couple of questions...

It appears as though you're using a 3/4" RDWC return line there. Do you have any issues with roots clogging the return? How do you prevent it?

I'm in the process of designing and building my new grow areas with DIY RDWC, and am going with 2" returns, as well as an automatic float valve shutoff for each bucket in the event of a clog. Mine will be a waterfall system.

Mine is a waterfall as well, not DWC. If you notice, the buckets are on blocks, raising them so the reservoir is lower. Water is pumped from the reservoir over each individual bucket. The bucket holds only 1/8 inch of water. Allows the roots to dry out as the pump is timed with the lights. So no root rot either.

Never had an issue with roots clogging the return.
