Hows it goin' everybody?
So I have a large cabinet (roughly 5'x2') in my bedroom that I have converted into a growbox. I have a 130 cfl exhaust blower running through my cool tube 400 watt HPS which is hooked into a carbon filter. I cut out the back of my box so I could figure out power cables. But now that everything is hooked up, I'm curious whether I should replace the back or not. The wall behind where the back should be is white (so it should reflect well). Also, I'm growing in 5 gallon pots with Fox Farms Ocean Forest soil. I have germinated my seeds (5 out of 5!) and placed them all in individual root cubes which are inside the 5 gallon pots. I'm running my HPS on them right now at a 18/6 cycle. The seeds themselves have a large tap root but the seed casing is still in-tact and is growing towards the surface. Is this normal or did I not germinate long enough?
My basic question is, should I put the back on it, or should I leave it the way it is? If I do decide to put a back on it, should I cut a hole for the fan's intake or should I cover the whole thing up?
I got some pictures because its probably hard to picture...
Thanks y'all.
Peace!
