Cheapest way to build a grow box???? Any guides?

Looking for the cheapest way to build a grow box. Use wood? Use PVC? Wrap mylar or panda film around pvc pipes? Will this trap the air inside?

I would go with wood. All you really need to do for an easy grow box is get some plywood and a staple gun. Then cut out your sides top bottom etc and staple together. I am actually building one right now in woodshop

I just built mine, 2.5'x3.5'x5', out of pvc, visqueen (white/black sheeting), and duct tape. It was about $50-60 for supplies.

if i was you i would just get a tent. i built mine out of wood and i could of bought a tent for the same price. i am kicking myself for not getting the tent.

There are some nice tents for $100. Throw in the amount of time saved by purchasing a kit...bam.

However, there is a certain level of satisfaction I get from building a one off design. But I still think I will purchase a grow tent for a mom room.

Y a tents are the way to go. Easy and built for the task. If you want something nice , cheap and permanent get a tent

That's essentially what I built. It just cost less, fits my space perfectly, and I have a sense of accomplishment from it.

i used 1x1 for a frame, wraped it in vapor barrier and lined the inside with white shower curtains on top of black garbage bags.. most of the materials i had round the house... the most expensive thing was the red contracters tape.. no smell gets in or out nor does light

Go to a thrift store, look for wardrobe closet.

Mine only cost 15 dollars

The rest is just the modifications

there is plenty of guides in the diy section for using cheap rubbermaid totes, personally i used plywood i found in the basement
