Hi, im looking to build a small veg room in my basement, which is huge. The actual basement is very large and very cool, thy have little vents every few feet for air to come in n out. I wanna milar off about a 6x10 area for a 1000w light, and a 4x8 table. i was seeing, since its not much heat and space, if i could jus have large holes on the bottom of the milar, or have a row of cinderblocks lining the bottom as windows. Then jus have maybe 2 fans inside the area blowing, and jus simply using the holes/windows for as airflow. Temperature-wise, i know itd be enough, but airflow and fresh air -wise i dont know if this would be ok. Again, im just looking to veg, i have a grow room in the upstairs.

Thanks in advance.

o, i am using cinderblocks to line the area, and the milar will go up to the cinderblocks, the holes in the cinderblocks will be somewhat of an open window for airflow. but light, i will be fine because i plan on using a screen material for all the vents in the basement. i was just seeing if this is enough airflow. since i wont be having an actual intake and outtake system persay

i think that any time off is better than 24/7 expecialy in the setup that he wants even if its 20/4 schedule which is perfectly fine to veg

my buddy is runnig 3-1000's and a 600 A window open for incoming air and one for out going. a few fans in the room. I was shocked at how cool it stayed. I can't run a 400 in my basment without a vented hood.

What are you smoking........... temps will drop quickly with the light off... 24/0 doesnt give the room any chance to cool off. In my basement I have to run 24/0 other wise there will be a 25 degree temp differential once the light goes out........... especially with all those circulation fans..............

if the temp is going to drop below 55 degress then leave the light on 24/0 or get a heater to maintain adiquit heat when your lights go off.
