I was wondering if there was a really cheap, but really good soil out there? I was using foxfarm potting mix in the red bag. I'm starting my 24hr darkness so I can start flowering. Need to transplant b4 I do that. Need more soil though and my pockets are kinda short. Any replies a appreciated.:peace::joint:

A bag of Scott's Peat Moss goes for about $4.50

plus a bag of Mushroom Compost for about $6.00

And 2 bags of perlite for $8.00

Roughly 35% Peat Moss 35% Compost and 30% perlite will give you a pretty stable soil medium with good drainage and enough soil nutrients to nurture your seedlings, but not enough interfere with your feeding schedule.

With those supplies you can easily put together 20 gallons of soil mix for all under $20. If you don't need that much, then see if you can buy the smaller bags.

Soils going to be the cheapest part of your grow, and also the most influential, a lot of people run through bad soils the first few times they grow. Just get the best looking soil you can find if you can PH test it in the store.
