Changing Resevoir?? WHY?

I have a regular old fashioned flood and drain system. I have a dual 60gallon air pump with two stones, With this I put a 160 gallon extra water pump in my rez, with a short tubeing, hooked to a T fitting, this then has two 2 1/2" tubes on it to help keep the nutes mixed. You guys think this would help? I have seen nuts like Liquad Karma put sediment on the bottom of my tank. And I always have to shack the bottle to make sure it is mixed.

Will these stones and the mixing, help in a regular flood and drain with rock wool medium? Air and such, Maybe better growth, or healthier.

keeping a pump on to stir your resivor along with airstones to stir as well is a very smart idea.

no matter what you will have slight settling, thats why resivors should be cleaned out and changed. i find it almost mandatory to use a pump to keep the solution stirred.

I always thought you need to change out your Res because of the salt build up, and nasty slime and pathogene build up.

what to do....

ok, you start out with a fresh bucket, full o nutes, ph'd.... the plants drink. i do not add more nutes, just ph'd water, untill it's time to change the res. with the res change comes new nutes.
