Easy guys, im up for doing some critical mass from seed, unfortunately they only come as regular seeds you cant get them as feminised, so whats the risk i run of getting males instead of females if i buy a few?

Depends on the environment and some luck. If the environment is right your chances go up. The "general rule of thumb" is 50/50.

I started with feminised seeds a year ago and don't plan to ever use them again. I've had a few hermie and some of the pheno's weren't that great. Two of my 3 keeper strains are from regular seeds, the other is clone only.

Good luck, remember you can always get your biggest male and pollinate some small bud sites on a female to make your own seeds

yea 50/50 is what i was thinking. ive only got space to grow 3 plants, so will just get 5seeds for now, 3 of em should germinate successfully, and see how it goes. what i dont want is to wait for 6 weeks+ to find out only one of em is female.....

just got 18 regular critical mass. i germed under an 8 bulb T5 20/4 cycle.18/18 germed and only had 5 males. the ratio should be a higher female to male ratio than 50/50. regular seeds are way better than females. you dont risk the chance of hermies like you do with feminized. people get so nervous at the thought of having a male show up. if you cant tell which is male and which is female, you shouldnt be growing. they all showed their sex by the fourth to fifth node in veg
