CFLs.. seedling plant height

I have been looking for a good CFL light for the past few weeks, and I finally found one. If anyone is still looking for any CFL lights for their seedling stage (not throughout veg or flower) this is definitely a good one.

cheap and effective.
I did have a little problem with how high the seedlings were growing although this was completely my fault and not the lights (distance wise)

too tall? Any ideas? Thanks

Lower the light within an inch or 2 of the seedling so it doesn't do an early stretch on you.

Edit: They can go into cups or small pots. I'd bury the stem a little. Leave 1/2" above ground. Then put the light really close. Move the light as needed per the growth so it doesn't touch the bulb.

I see, thank you. And your saying THEY CAN NOT go into another pot? I didn’t want to transfer them too early as well. And bury the stem into the rapid rooter that is already set up? Thanks

They can be transplanted as soon as they break soil. Yes, you can pot the rapid rooter right into the soil. Just put it in a deep enough hole to cover some of the stem.

T5's set at six inches is a sure fire way to start and covers a better area.

This is just to show you how easy it is to bury those long stretchy stems , After you replant them make sure you lower your lights so they wont continue to stretch I do not have a pic of one of those seedlings with the long ass stem reaching for a light that's 2ft high But i got this one...
