you can get 42 watt cfl's, for 9.95 (canadian) each, at walmart. They are made by GE. I would get those. HPS bulbs are expensive to replace and its just not worth it for lamps that small. imho

or they also have 45 watt for 15 or 16.95. not as good a value as the GE bulb at $10. Plus the 45 watter is made by 'Globe'. and they suck ass

Here's a thread on exactly what you want to know...

Man i would take those lights back if i were you. Bright white is 3500K and is very ineffective for growing smoke. Daylight which is 6500K or Full Spectrum which is 5000K is what you need for optimum vegitation. Then when you start flowering the plants switch to 2700K or Warm White lights. If you can't get Daylight or full spectrum then you CAN veg with Warm White lights or Soft white 2700K-3000K but i would stay away from the bright white and cool white bulbs 3500K-4000K.

100 watts for flowering? GE soft white bulbs are great but youd want a hell of a lot more wattage than that.

honestly, i buy the cheapest cfl's i can find. i stay away from 'globe' if i can but i have used them before. However i only use cfl's in the seedling and veg stage. If you plan on using strictly CFL's then i would read up on which ones are best.
