I have heard that if you keep them under blues for the first 2 weeks of flowering this can greatly reduce stretching (assuming you are dealing with a stretchy strain).

I've heard that too, but never tried it myself. I'd like to know. Hmm....sounds like a good thread topic, eh?

You can go with 100% 6500 in veg and 100% 2700k in flower, but a mic of 70/30 is probably better.

yeaaaa.. i feel like its mostly a personal preference.. but i would deff keep most of the bulbs 2700k wen flowering.. but in my opinion.. its good to have 1 or 2 6500k's during flowering.. the 27ook's are high in red spectrum.. which is good for flower production.. and the 6500k's are good for vegging.. making the leaves healthy and the stems strong.. soo its good to have a mix i think.. especially towards the END OF FLOWERING!!! ive heard that before.. in the last week or 2 of flowering.. deff put some 6500K's in the mix.. ive heard it helps.. i hav my lights set up like that.. and i have 1 week left.. but this is my 1st grow.. soo ive never done it with ALL 2700k's.. soo i cant say if theres a difference or not.. hope i helped

Here's the basis for it: In nature, the sun is mostly blue spectrum with some red in the spring which is veg time. As spring progresses, it becomes gradually more red until at mid summer it is about 50/50. In late summer which is peak flower it becomes more and more red. We can even see the difference in late summer days. So I guess if you were obsessive about emulating nature you could change it gradually. But I think 70/30 and then 30/70 works well.
