CFL plug adapter

Hello all,
i've used the search function and googled and still cant find my answer. i see in grow journals people using for CFL these adapters that plug in right into the wall. no extension cord. is there a formal name for these adapters? thank you! Desmond.

i get them from home depot. i think walmart has them cheaper. this is what i have, but not used yet.

I Bought Mine At The 99 Cent Store, 2 for a buck . Can Get Any better then that.

that is the first i have seen of such a super fantastic wonderful device. I must aquire a boatload.

I dont see why someone would use those socket to plug adapters, anyone want to tell me why you use them?
