between those two, I'd go with the hps, may want to consider a conversion system, so you can switch the bulbs and have both a mh and hps.

HPS i feel CFL are a little bit of a waste if you are tryin to decide over CFL or HPS ... HPS are way better for flowering and thats when it really matters

well looks like its a win for hps do you think 2x250watts is good for 6 plants?
Depends on the size of your room. Do you plan on using reflectors? Or just hanging them vertically with no reflector. This is definetly cheaper and you can get light to the lower branches.
With a 1/4 turn of each plant daily you will get even growth. Set them up in three rows of two and place a light in the center of each row. So you will have two plants by the walls on both sides and two in the center. If this type of setup will not work than I would go with a single 600w lamp in a medium adjust-a-wing reflector or an air cooled Daystar w/ Hortilux super hps bulb. It is only 100 more watts than the two 250's. Hell, I would go with the 600 watt setup even if the other option worked.

You will grow ok plants, but I would reccomend at least a 400W and if you can afford it a 1000w, plain and simple the more watts the more yield.

can we have some details about your grow room? how big is it and how are the ventilation holes?

do do what i do bro for the absolute best yield. in veg i break out my 600watt MH with a bunch of
100 watt CFL 6500k hangin down all around the plants. to give light underneight for max productivity.
and wen i switch to flow move yo my 600watt HPS light with a bunch off 100 watt CFL 2700k or sumin...best
of both worlds baby. as long you got the electricity thats the fucking way to do CFLs are cheap as fuck to run away.
trust me B listen to the captiain n you wont go wrong haha peace out man good luck wit your grow in def subbed

get the HPS

(anyone notice I'm on the HPS bandwagon now haha; CFL's are great but after a few months of them they piss me off)

but would 2 250watt HPs be alot better than 1 400watt 250 means i can have more coverage right? there for better yeild??
