Carbon filter inside or outside of room?

hey rollitup readers and experts, i had a question regarding carbon filter set-up in my grow room. i made an independent room inside my garage out of wood and drywall, measurements are 8' w by 11' 6" l by 8' 6" h. im currently using a 6" intake fan and plan on venting my 4 600w lights with an 8" fan connected to carbon filter which will sit outside my room so that the hot air is expelled and scrubbed by one fan. is this is good idea? i see alot of rooms where the air is "scrubbed" inside of the room and another fan is used for intake as well as exhaust. am i doing too much using one fan to exhaust and scrub the air? thanks for any and all advice, i'll post pics soon.

you always want to pull air through the filter rather than push...

Carbon Filter > Lights > Ducting > Fan > Outside

Some people even duct to a different room, scrub the air again, then vent to the outside; depends where you live.
