Canuk Seeds and flower time accuracy?

Hi All, I am new to growing and working to select my genetics and want to get very good quality. I came across Canuk Seeds, which seem to be good. But I was reading the reviews of folks who grew the seeds and they all mostly stated that the seeds took longer to grow than stated. The one said 42 days and most said it takes 8-9 weeks. Is that common for that company to exaggerate the flowering cycle? If it says 42 days, then it should be close and honestly stated. If a company will lie about the small stuff, who knows what else they may be untruthful about.

Or should I buy something like Dinafem, where many reviews were on par with the expected flower time as stated?

Any thoughts are appreciated.

Only buy canuk if you get them during the 70% off sale. Are you in Canada? Try JOTI, 60 bucks for two packs of quality genetics.

Right their normal price is INSANE. I personally have not grown them yet but I've seen guys on youtube get amazing results. Flowering time varies greatly between different strains and opinions of when a flower is ready vary greatly. Some people like to cut at the first sign of any amber trichomes some people wait until 25% amber some people wait until 50% some people wait even longer. Personally I like my fruit SUPER ripe. 50-90% amber is where I like to be at.

I tried a Canuck GG4 out of a free pack someone tossed me. Outdoors mine had smells of garbage methane and rotting fruit. It was so sticky the fruit flies were getting stuck to it the day I chopped. Turned out very nice. Not GG4 of course.

Another Canuck GG4 a friend tried out of a separate pack that he purchased was straight up hay, and too weak to even hold itself up properly outdoors.

I’m not saying Canuck is all bad, but read the strain descriptions.

Canuck King Tut = King Tut x ruderalis?
Canuck Blue Widow = Blueberry x Cheese?

That is why I always put “Canuck” in front of their strain name, lol.

They do list super fast time. I'd take anything from them - especially with any heirloom genetics - 8-9 weeks minimum. They're saying their widow and NL come in at 6-6.5 weeks, which would be a first.
